In the mid-1930s, Italy needed a way to counter Germany's dominance in motorsports. And so this car was born – the creation of Enzo Ferrari, who was working for Alfa Romeo at the time.

Alfa Romeo C16 Bimotore

This car driven by Louis Chiron scored a second placing at the Avus-Rennen GP, with average lap speeds close to 260 Km/h. Tazio Nuvolari set a world speed record of 321.420 Km/h on 15th June 1935 on a stretch of the Autostrada Firenze-Mare.

After this, the car returned to the factory and never left the gates again.
