Two engines with 8 cylinders each...

In the mid-1930s, Italy needed a way to counter Germany's dominance in motorsports. And so this car was born – the creation of Enzo Ferrari, who was working for Alfa Romeo at the time.

Alfa Romeo 16C Bimotore:
Two 8-cylinder engines
Total power 540 hp
Total engine displacement 6.33 liters
Top speed 325 km/h
Rear-wheel drive

This car driven by Louis Chiron scored a second placing at the Avus-Rennen GP, with average lap speeds close to 260 Km/h. Tazio Nuvolari set a world speed record of 321.420 Km/h on 15th June 1935 on a stretch of the Autostrada Firenze-Mare.
After this, the car returned to the factory and never left the gates again.
Let’s say nothing more…
